WiFi works in the infrastructure mode 2 mode, which you use when connected to a network and ad-hoc mode when you connect directly to another computer. If you turn on ad-hoc fashion, it becomes possible someone close to you using ad-hoc connection without your knowledge and they can go into your PC with free.

So do not forget to turn off ad-hoc mode :
  1. Right click on the wireless icon the system tray
  2. Select status
  3. Click properties
  4. Select the Wireless Network
  5. Select option "advance"
  6. Click "Access point (infrastructure) networks only"
  7. Uncheck the box "This is a computer-to-computer (ad-hoc) network". 
  8. Click OK and keep clicking OK untill all dialog boxes
